Promoclean TP 1117 Aqueous Cleaning Detergent

Promoclean TP 1117 is a concentrated, medium-pH aqueous cleaning detergent from Inventec Performance Chemicals, designed for the removal of polishing pastes, hydrocarbon and water-soluble oils using aqueous immersion processes with ultrasonic agitation. Additionally, it provides temporary protection through its passivation properties.

Because of its medium pH, the formulation cleans effectively without damaging sensitive alloys. As a result, manufacturers can rely on a single product across a wide range of metals and precision components.

Promoclean TP 1117 Features

  • For example, compatible with sensitive alloys, including Inox, ferrous alloys, titanium, copper, brass, light alloys, gold and silver.
  • Also, excellent wetting properties, suited to aqueous immersion with ultrasonics.
  • In addition, medium pH, preventing damage to sensitive metals.
  • Concentrated formulation, diluted with tap or DI water.
  • Provides 3–7 days of corrosion protection.
  • High cleaning power at low concentration, with a long bath-life.
  • Furthermore, non-toxic, with no CMR substances.
  • Non-flammable, with low environmental impact.

How It Works

Because the detergent combines strong wetting properties with a medium pH, it also lifts polishing pastes and oils from metal surfaces without attacking the base material. Meanwhile, its passivation properties leave a thin protective layer on treated parts. Consequently, components stay protected against corrosion for 3–7 days between processing steps. In addition, the concentrated formulation gives high cleaning power at low dilution, so a long bath-life follows naturally from typical use.

Applications

Generally, manufacturers reach for this cleaner wherever precision components need both thorough cleaning and short-term corrosion protection. For example, the micromechanics industry uses it for cleaning fine parts between production stages. Similarly, watch manufacturing, jewelry production and medical parts manufacturing all rely on this level of surface preparation.

  • For instance, micromechanics industry cleaning.
  • Also, watch manufacturing.
  • Jewelry production.
  • Likewise, medical parts manufacturing.

With its longer-lasting passivation protection, this cleaner suits production workflows where parts need to remain protected against corrosion for extended periods between processing steps, such as multi-stage micromechanics assembly lines.

Promoclean TP 1117 Corrosion Protection

Promoclean TP 1117 is totally soluble in water. Although fully in line with safety and environmental regulations, this product does not meet Inventec’s strict criteria to be labelled a Greenway product. Therefore, for applications where Greenway certification is required, Inventec instead offers Promoclean TP 1114, which provides 1–3 days of corrosion protection.
