Promosolv Coat UT10-UV is a transparent, ultra-thin hydrophobic and oleophobic coating from Inventec Performance Chemicals. It also protects electronics and other surfaces against moisture, corrosion and other environmental conditions. In addition, it includes a UV tracer, so you can check coated parts for coverage under UV light during quality control.
Promosolv Coat UT10-UV Features
- Ultra-thin hydrophobic and oleophobic coating with a built-in UV tracer
- Dip or spray application
- Easy, fast process with no thermal or UV cure required
- Touch dry in less than one minute
- Also adheres to plastic, glass, metal and ceramic substrates
- Exceptional liquid repellence, reducing the need for PCB masking
- Very low VOC, non-flammable, and free of CMR substances
- Cost-effective, as only a minimal product quantity is needed per part
Specifically, Inventec formulates Promosolv Coat UT10-UV from a fluoropolymer in a hydrofluoroether solvent (Diluent 10D). As a result, the coated film offers a dielectric strength of 2500 V/mil, excellent solvent and chemical resistance, and remains solder-through repairable.
Promosolv Coat UT10-UV Applications
- Electronics protection
- PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) coating
- Surface protection against moisture, corrosion and environmental conditions
In fact, Inventec positions Promosolv Coat UT10-UV as a replacement for 3M Novec 2704, which manufacturers are phasing out by the end of 2025. Similarly, it positions Promosolv Coat UT10 as a replacement for 3M Novec 1700, so the two products sit together in Inventec’s coating range.
