Thermasolv IM2 is a high-purity dielectric heat transfer fluid from Inventec Performance Chemicals. It is purpose-built for two-phase immersion and direct cooling systems.

Key Features of Thermasolv IM2

  • GWP below 10
  • Boiling point 49°C / 120°F
  • Perfect for two-phase immersion

What Is Thermasolv IM2 Used For?

It is purpose-built for two-phase immersion cooling. It also suits cold plate or tube direct cooling, dielectric testing and specialised manufacturing cooling.

Built for Two-Phase Cooling

A boiling point of 49°C lets it boil at hot component surfaces and carry heat away. Meanwhile, very low viscosity (0.4 cSt at 20°C) and a pour point of -108°C support efficient system performance.

Is Thermasolv IM2 Safe With Live Electronics?

Yes. Its dielectric strength is over 40 kV, with resistivity of 1.00E+13 Ohm-cm. Therefore, equipment can run under power while fully submerged. It is also non-flammable and non-toxic.

Can It Handle Water Contact?

No. We do not recommend it where there is a high risk of water contact, as water can reduce performance. For those setups, consider Thermasolv IM6, which offers excellent water stability.

Why Choose Thermasolv IM2?

It has an ultra-low GWP below 10 and zero ODP. It is also compatible with common metals, plastics and elastomers. In addition, you can recycle used fluid through Inventec’s Ecoprogram. So it is a clean, high-purity choice for two-phase cooling.
