Automatic Large Area Heavy-Wire Bonder

The Series 86 Battery Bonding System from F&S Bondtec is a heavy-wire version of the automatic wire bonders in our Series 86 featuring exchangeable bond heads.

A fully automatic mode makes it ideally suited for medium-scale production. Parts to be bonded are fed manually by the operator, but the bonds are produced completley without operator influence.

Thanks to the built-in pattern recognition. Single bonds can be made within seconds, making the machine perfect for research and development, Pilot manufacturing and middle volume production.

What should you know about Battery Bonding?

• Surface quality:

The bond connection is as good as the surface quality. Any organic or any other contamination has an effect to the bonding. A pre-cleaning process is recommended (i.e.: CO2 Cleaning)

• Packaging of the Battery:

The packaging which holds each individual battery in place, has to be very tight. The battery should have no space to move in any direction. The US energy evaporates and the wire will get no connection.
