The FS BONDTEC 8650 Automatic Large Area Bonder Heavy-Wire is the Heavy-wire version of the automatic wire bonders in Series 86, featuring exchangeable bond heads. Its fully automatic mode makes the FS BONDTEC 8650 ideally suited for medium-scale production — parts to be bonded are fed manually by the operator, but the bonds themselves are produced completely without operator influence.
Thanks to built-in pattern recognition, single bonds can be made within seconds on the FS BONDTEC 8650, making the machine perfect for R&D, pilot manufacturing and middle volume production environments that need consistent, high-quality heavy-wire bonds across a large working area. An optional CO2 JetBox is also available for CO2 snow cleaning, useful for removing surface contamination before bonding.
Additional programming features include automatic repeat measurements on hybrids or COB using the programmable head movement and Pattern Recognition Unit (PRU), along with operator profiles, various password levels, and optional barcode readers for product identification. Feedback of measured values to die and wire bonders for parameter optimisation is also available as an option.
