It comes in 0.25%, 0.52% and 5.25% concentrations. In addition, the range includes ready-to-use solutions and a concentrated 5.25% solution.

  • Sodium hypochlorite formulated with Water for Injection
  • Available in 0.25%, 0.52% and 5.25% concentrations
  • Designed for pharmaceutical and critical cleanroom environments
  • Filtered at 0.2 microns
  • Manufactured using aseptic filling processes
  • Available in multiple container sizes
  • Lot-specific analytical and sterility data supplied
  • Validated for sterility and shelf life
  • Suitable for washable, non-porous, hard environmental surfaces

A Cleanroom Disinfectant for Critical Environments

HYPO-CHLOR® suits cleaning rotations that need a sodium hypochlorite solution for clean and critical environments. For example, teams use it in cleanrooms and controlled areas, aseptic filling and gowning rooms, general manufacturing areas and laboratories.

It works on most washable, non-porous, hard and inanimate surfaces. So you can use it on machinery, tools, tables, counters, laminar-flow benches, floors, walls, carts and shelves. It also suits plastic, glass, vinyl, glazed porcelain, laminates, glazed tile and stainless steel.

Available Concentrations

Choose from three concentrations to match your cleanroom and disinfecting needs:

  • 0.25% – ready-to-use sodium hypochlorite solution
  • 0.52% – ready-to-use sodium hypochlorite solution
  • 5.25% – concentrated sodium hypochlorite solution

You can also dilute the 5.25% solution to make 0.25% or 0.52% solutions. Simply follow the manufacturer’s dilution instructions.

Sterile Pharmaceutical Formula

The manufacturer makes HYPO-CHLOR® with Water for Injection under controlled sterile processing. First, it filters the product at 0.2 microns. Then, it fills the product in an ISO 5 (Grade A) cleanroom.

Before filling, 0.2 micron filtered air washes each component. Next, the product goes into sterile, gamma-irradiated components through aseptic filling. Finally, every lot undergoes sterility testing to the current USP compendium, with full traceability from start to finish.

As a result, you get validated sterility and shelf life, plus lot-specific analytical and sterility data with every order.

ABCD Cleanroom Introduction System®

HYPO-CHLOR® uses the ABCD Cleanroom Introduction System®. This packaging helps you bring products through different levels of classified areas while protecting them from contamination.

The system uses several protective layers. For example, two outer bags hold each sterilised group of containers. In addition, two easy-tear bags wrap each individual container.

Product Applications

  • Cleanrooms and controlled areas
  • Aseptic filling rooms
  • Gowning rooms
  • General manufacturing areas
  • Laboratories
  • Machinery and tools
  • Tables and counters
  • Laminar-flow benches
  • Floors and walls
  • Carts and shelves
  • Plastic, glass and vinyl surfaces
  • Glazed porcelain and glazed tile
  • Stainless steel

Residue Management

Because HYPO-CHLOR® contains sodium hypochlorite, sodium residue can remain after the surface dries. Therefore, residue removal is an important part of your cleaning process.

According to the manufacturer, you can remove sodium residue with a hot Water for Injection rinse or mechanical rinsing. Alternatively, wipe with a dry wipe and an isopropyl alcohol such as DEC-AHOL® WFI.

Regular residue removal helps reduce surface wear, corrosion and pitting. This matters most on susceptible materials.

Efficacy

HYPO-CHLOR® 0.25% and 0.52% have passed testing to certified European EN efficacy standards. The results support bactericidal, fungicidal, yeasticidal and sporicidal efficacy under the stated test conditions.

For example, HYPO-CHLOR® 0.25% showed bactericidal efficacy at 6 minutes, fungicidal efficacy at 8 minutes and sporicidal efficacy at 40 minutes. Meanwhile, HYPO-CHLOR® 0.52% showed bactericidal and fungicidal efficacy at 6 minutes and sporicidal efficacy at 25 minutes.

Manufacturing and Quality

  • Formulated with USP Water for Injection
